Compare the Range β€” Pick by Project Size

Every model plays smooth 24-bit colour animation and runs the same easy phone-browser control. The difference is scale and frame-rate (FPS):

Feature W1000 PRO W8000 PRO W16000 PRO W40 PRO
(this product)
Ports 2 8 16 40 (true parallel)
Max Pixels 2,048 8,192 16,000 16,000
24-bit HD Animation βœ” βœ” βœ” βœ”
Animation FPS Good High Higher Highest
Best For Thoran, building Big Thoran / building Very big building Mega HD animation walls

*All four models play 24-bit colour animations β€” only the frame-rate (FPS) differs: lowest on the W1000 PRO, highest on the W40 PRO. Actual FPS also depends on the LED load (pixels per port).

πŸ‘‰ Why W40 PRO? 40 true-parallel data lines spread your pixels across more separate runs β€” the highest FPS and smoothest 24-bit HD animation for the biggest, most spread-out installations. Need fewer ports? See the W16000 / W8000 / W1000 PRO.

Best For

  • Mega matrix screens & HD animation walls
  • Large commercial building outlines & mall lighting
  • Grand wedding arches & premium stage backdrops
  • High-end DJ lighting & nightclub visuals
  • Big Thoran & festival decoration setups

How It Works

  1. Connect a heavy-duty 5V SMPS and wire your pixel strings across the 40 output ports.
  2. Power on and connect your phone to the WiFi network W40_PRO_XXXX (password 12341234).
  3. Open http://10.10.10.10 in your browser (it usually opens automatically).
  4. Select your matrix folder, IC type, LEDs-per-port and connection type (S/Z).
  5. Type your text and press Send, or load .out animations from the SD card.

Complete Your Setup β€” Ready-Made Connection Patta

Wiring a 40-port setup by hand takes hours. Save that time with our ready-made Pixel LED Connection Patta β€” a connection belt with original branded 1.5mm pure copper and ready ports at a 1-feet gap. Just plug your pixel chains in. The 40-port patta pairs perfectly with this 40-port W40 PRO controller.

  • 🧡 Branded 1.5mm full-copper β€” stable power & data, minimal voltage drop
  • πŸ”Œ 20-port (20 ft) & 40-port (40 ft) options β€” match your controller
  • ⚑ Power-injection points keep brightness full across the whole run
  • 🧢 Heavy sewing on cotton patta β€” strong & durable, ready to use

Power Supply (SMPS) β€” How Many You Need

Big pixel displays need heavy-duty 5V 80A (400W) SMPS. As a rule of thumb, use about one 5V 80A SMPS per ~1,000 LEDs, connected at the power-injection points so brightness stays full across the entire display.

Setup / Size Approx LEDs SMPS Needed
50X40 / 100X20 ~2,000 2 Γ— 5V 80A
100X40 ~4,000 4 Γ— 5V 80A

Frequently Asked Questions

How many pixels does it support?
Up to 16,000 pixels β€” 40 ports with up to 400 LEDs per port. The control panel warns you if a layout exceeds the limits.

What does "true parallel" mean?
All 40 ports send data at the same time, so even very large displays play 24-bit animation at a high frame-rate β€” smooth, with no flicker.

How much power supply do I need?
Use about one 5V 80A (400W) SMPS per ~1,000 LEDs β€” e.g. 2 for a ~2,000-LED setup (50X40, 100X20) and 4 for a ~4,000-LED setup (100X40). See the Power Supply guide above.

How do I create my own animations?
Animations (.out files) are created on a PC using Jinix software, then exported as .out and copied onto the SD card. Only Jinix .out files are supported.

Can I play different matrix sizes from one SD card?
Yes. For each size, create a folder on the SD card named Height Γ— Width + S/Z β€” for example 50X40S β€” and place that size's .out files inside it. Select the folder in Matrix Layout; you can keep as many size folders as you like on one card.

Which LED ICs are supported?
WS2812B (GRB) and WS2811 / UCS1903 (RGB). Select the IC type that matches your physical strip.

Colours look wrong (red shows as green)?
You've selected the wrong IC type β€” switch between WS2812 (GRB) and WS2811 / UCS1903 (RGB).

The display is mirrored or scrambled?
Switch the Connection Type between S-Type and Z-Type.

How is it different from the W16000 PRO?
Both drive up to 16,000 pixels and play 24-bit animation, but the W40 PRO has 40 true-parallel ports (vs 16) β€” so it runs at a higher frame-rate (FPS) and spreads pixels across far more separate data runs, ideal for the most demanding, widely-spread installs.

I forgot my WiFi password.
With the controller on, hold the BOOT/RESET button for about 8 seconds β€” the panel flashes red and the password resets to 12341234.

Warranty

6-month warranty* on manufacturing defects.

*Warranty covers manufacturing defects only. Not covered: physical damage, water damage, wrong SMPS connection (reverse +/βˆ’ polarity), connecting to 220V AC, or the controller being exposed to rain. Protect the controller and SMPS from rain (use a rainproof box outdoors).
