The Koshi Electronics W16000 PRO WiFi Pixel LED Controller is a professional 16-port controller for large-scale pixel displays, driving up to 16,000 pixels (16,384 max). The big brother of the W8000 PRO, it combines WiFi and SD-card control with smooth live multi-language scrolling text, full-colour animations and built-in effects โ built for shop signs, name boards, building facades and large festive displays. No PC and no app required โ everything runs from your phone or laptop browser.

Older controllers held a program for only one layout per card โ to run a different display size, you had to rebuild the whole card. The W16000 PRO removes that limitation.

How It Works
- Connect a 5V power supply and wire your pixel strips across the 16 output ports.
- Power on and connect your phone to the WiFi network W16000_PRO_XXXX (password 12341234).
- Open http://10.10.10.10 in your browser (it usually opens automatically).
- Set your matrix size, IC type and connection type (S/Z). If the card holds several matrix folders, choose the one you need here.
- Type your text and press Send, or load
.outanimations from the SD card.
Power Supply (SMPS) โ How Many You Need
Big pixel displays need heavy-duty 5V 80A (400W) SMPS. As a rule of thumb, use about one 5V 80A SMPS per ~1,000 LEDs, connected at the power-injection points so brightness stays full across the entire display.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can one SD card hold programs for different matrix sizes?
Yes. Create a folder for each size named Height ร Width + S/Z (for example 50X40S), put that size's .out files inside, and select the folder from the phone control page. No need to remove the card or change files.
Can I order programs for extra sizes?
Yes. The program for your selected size is included. Add more sizes with the size builder on this page โ โน200 per size, for listed or custom sizes, up to 10.
How many pixels per port?
Up to 1024 pixels per port โ 16,384 total (16,000 recommended). The pixels are split equally across the ports for both text and animation.
How much power supply do I need?
Use about one 5V 80A (400W) SMPS per ~1,000 LEDs โ for example 2 for ~2,000 LEDs, 4 for ~4,000, 8 for ~8,000, and up to 16 for a full ~16,000-LED display. See the Power Supply guide above.
Which LED ICs are supported?
WS2812B / WS2815 (GRB) and WS2811 / UCS1903 (RGB). Just select your IC type and the correct colour order is applied automatically.
Colours look wrong (red shows as green)?
You have the wrong IC type selected โ switch between WS2812 (GRB) and WS2811 / UCS1903 (RGB) until colours are correct.
The display is mirrored or scrambled row-by-row?
Switch the Connection Type between S-Type and Z-Type. This applies to both text and animations.
Do text and animation need different wiring?
No. The controller divides the pixels equally across the ports in both modes, so a single wiring layout works for everything.
Can WiFi and SD card run together?
Yes โ play SD-card animations while sending live text over WiFi.
How is it different from the W8000 PRO?
The W16000 PRO has 16 ports (vs 8) and up to 16,000 pixels (vs 8192) โ about double the capacity, for much larger displays.
What's the WiFi range?
Typically 25โ30 metres in open space, depending on obstacles.
Which software makes the .out animation file?
All Koshi SD-card pixel controllers use the free, open-source Jinix (Jinx!) software โ design your animation on a PC, export it as a .out file, and copy it to the SD card. The controller plays these .out files directly. (LedEdit is not used for this controller.)
