How It Works

1. Connect a 5V power supply and wire your pixel strips across the 16 output ports.
2. Power on and connect your phone to the WiFi network W16000_PRO_XXXX (password 12341234).
3. Open http://10.10.10.10 in your browser (it usually opens automatically).
4. Set your matrix size, IC type and connection type (S/Z).
5. Type your text and press Send, or load .out animations from the SD card.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many pixels per port?
Up to 1024 pixels per port — 16,384 total (16,000 recommended). The pixels are split equally across the ports for both text and animation.

Which LED ICs are supported?
WS2812B / WS2815 (GRB) and WS2811 / UCS1903 (RGB). Just select your IC type and the correct colour order is applied automatically.

Colours look wrong (red shows as green)?
You have the wrong IC type selected — switch between WS2812 (GRB) and WS2811 / UCS1903 (RGB) until colours are correct.

The display is mirrored or scrambled row-by-row?
Switch the Connection Type between S-Type and Z-Type. This applies to both text and animations.

Do text and animation need different wiring?
No. The controller divides the pixels equally across the ports in both modes, so a single wiring layout works for everything.

Can WiFi and SD card run together?
Yes — play SD-card animations while sending live text over WiFi.

How is it different from the W8000 PRO?
The W16000 PRO has 16 ports (vs 8) and up to 16,000 pixels (vs 8192) — about double the capacity, for much larger displays.

What's the WiFi range?
Typically 25–30 metres in open space, depending on obstacles.
