Power & SMPS

Heavy model: each port drives up to 5 bunches (~50W/port) — a full load of ~50 bunches ≈ 500W. Recommended: 2 × 12V 600W SMPS (split the load + power injection). Market "600W" SMPS actually deliver ~400W, so keep a margin.

Lite model: each port drives 2 bunches — a lighter full load of ~20 bunches ≈ 200W, which a single 12V 600W SMPS handles easily.

How To Set Up (Wiring)

  1. Power the input from a 12V SMPS or 12V battery (VCC = +ve, GND = −ve).
  2. Common all LED POSITIVE (+ve) wires together and connect to the supply +ve terminal.
  3. Connect each LED line's NEGATIVE (−ve) wire to the 10 output channels. Outputs switch on the negative side (common positive).
  4. Wire gauge: at least 1.5 mm from the SMPS output; 1.5 mm common bus, thinner for single taps. On a large 10-channel setup, use power injection (feed power at multiple points) to avoid voltage drop.
  5. Power on — animations start. Control with the speed knob and mode selector.

6-Month Warranty* against manufacturing defects only (controller board).

*Not covered: physical damage, water damage, wrong SMPS connection (reverse +/− polarity), connecting LEDs directly to 220V AC, or the controller/SMPS exposed to rain. Protect the controller and SMPS from rain — the LEDs themselves are waterproof.

What is the difference between the Lite and Heavy models?
The Lite model drives 2 LED bunches per port; the Heavy model drives 5 bunches per port. The Lite uses direct wiring for the output and power input (no connectors), while the Heavy has a heavier-duty board with connectors. Choose Lite for home/shop decoration and Heavy for large displays with heavy LED loads.
Which LEDs does it drive?
Any 12V single-colour LED — strip or 50-LED bunch. Not for RGB / pixel / 5V LEDs.
How do I wire the chaser to the LEDs?
The outputs switch on the negative (−ve) side (common positive). (1) Common all LED positive (+ve) wires together and connect to the supply +ve. (2) Connect each LED line's negative (−ve) wire to the 10 output channels.
What wire gauge and power injection?

How many LEDs per port and which SMPS?
Heavy: max 5 bunches per port (~50W); 10 ports = 50 bunches ≈ 500W full load → 2 × 12V 600W SMPS. Lite: 2 bunches per port (~200W full load) → a single 12V 600W SMPS. Market 600W is about 400W real.
Will it run from a 12V battery?
Yes. It runs on 12V DC, including from a 12V battery — size the battery's Ah capacity to your load.
Does it work without a power supply?
No. A 12V DC source (SMPS or 12V battery) is required.
Can I connect a 220V light string to it?
No. It is for 12V single-colour LEDs only. Never connect 220V AC mains.
Can I install it outdoors / in the rain?
Keep the controller in a weatherproof box — the controller is not waterproof. Outdoor LED lights should be IP65-rated or higher.
Can multiple controllers be synced?
Each controller runs independently. For synchronised effects across multiple controllers, use the WiFi-enabled models.
