This chaser works only with 12V single-colour LEDs (strip or 50-LED bunch) running on a 12V SMPS. It does not work with 220V AC LED lights/ladi, or with pixel / WS2812 / 5V LEDs. Please check your LEDs before ordering. Have 220V LEDs? Use our 220V AC Chaser.
12V 16-Channel Action Chaser — LED Animation Controller

Live Demo
Key Features
- 16 Independent Channels — 16 separate LED groups, each with its own speed and effect
- Lite & Heavy Models — choose by per-port load capacity: Lite drives 1–2 bunches per port, Heavy drives up to 5 bunches per port
- 50+ Pre-Programmed Effects + Manual & Auto Modes
- Adjustable Speed — speed knob and mode switch on board
- Negative (Common-Positive) Output — transistor / MOSFET negative-side switching
- 12V DC, Plug-and-Play — no programming, no software
Lite vs Heavy — Which One?
Both models are the same 16-channel action chaser. The only difference is how much LED load each output port can drive:
| Model | Per-Port Capacity | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Lite | 1–2 LED bunches per port | Standard / smaller decoration setups |
| Heavy | Up to 5 LED bunches per port | Large displays with heavy LED loads |
Important — No Multi-Controller Sync
This chaser (both Lite and Heavy) does not support DMX or controller-to-controller sync. Two or more controllers cannot be linked to run the same animation together — each controller runs independently. For a bigger display, plan a single setup rather than syncing multiple boards.
Perfect For
- Festival decoration — Diwali, Navratri, Ganpati (Ganesh Chaturthi), Christmas, New Year
- Building facade, gate and shop signage
- Waterfall effect and sign-board lighting
- LED strip running, stage / mandap and DIY chaser projects
Power & SMPS
Heavy model: each port drives up to 5 bunches (~50W/port). At full load that is ~80 bunches ≈ 800W. A single 600W (real ~400W) supply is not enough — the voltage will drop. Recommended: 2–3 × 12V 600W SMPS + power injection (feed power at multiple points).
Lite model: each port drives 1–2 bunches — a lighter total load that a single 12V 600W SMPS can handle comfortably.
Complete Your Setup
- 12V Single-Colour LED (strip or 50-LED bunch) — see all options: 12V Single Colour LED Collection. Popular: Copper SMD LED String (50 LED Bunch)
- 12V 600W SMPS (2–3× for Heavy + injection) — 12V 600W Rainproof Heavy Duty SMPS
How To Set Up (Wiring)
- Power the input from a 12V SMPS (VCC = +ve, GND = −ve).
- Common all LED POSITIVE (+ve) wires together and connect to the supply +ve terminal.
- Connect each LED line's NEGATIVE (−ve) wire to the 16 output channels (CH1–CH16). Outputs switch on the negative side (common positive).
- Wire gauge: at least 1.5 mm from the SMPS output; 1.5 mm common bus, thinner for single taps. On a large 16-channel setup, power injection is essential — otherwise the far-end bunches dim (voltage drop).
- Power on — animations start. Control with the speed knob and mode switch.
Warranty
6-Month Warranty* against manufacturing defects only (controller board).
*Not covered: physical damage, water damage, wrong SMPS connection (reverse +/− polarity), connecting LEDs directly to 220V AC, or the controller/SMPS exposed to rain. Protect the controller and SMPS from rain — the LEDs themselves are waterproof.
