- Connect your pixel strip's Data wire to any of the 8 data outputs and its GND wire to the common GND terminal. Connect 5V power to the input terminals.
- Power on and connect your phone to the WiFi network KOSHI_WLED (password koshi1234). The control page opens automatically (or open http://4.3.2.1).
- All 8 outputs come pre-configured with 50 LEDs each — just update the LED count and IC type to match your strips in Config → LED Preferences.
- Enjoy 180+ effects, colours, presets and playlists — all from your phone. Short-press the onboard button for quick ON/OFF.
- (Recommended) Connect WLED to your home WiFi (Config → WiFi Setup) for Alexa/Google voice control and OTA updates — and change the default passwords from Config → Security & Updates.

🔄 Firmware Update — Zaroori Jaankari / Important
✅ Naye boards ab WLED v16 ke saath aate hain. In par v16 → v16 ke updates WiFi (OTA) se bilkul normally chalte hain — koi cable nahi chahiye.
⚠️ Lekin agar aapke board mein purana WLED v0.15 hai (pehle khareeda hua board), toh use WiFi se v16 par update MAT kariye — board permanently kharab (brick) ho sakta hai.
Apna version 10 second mein check kariye: WLED page kholiye → Info → wahan firmware ka naam dikhega.
• KOSHI_LITE_v16 → aap v16 par hain, sab theek hai. WiFi updates safe.
• KOSHI_LITE → aap v0.15 par hain. Neeche wali baat aap par laagu hoti hai.
Technical wajah: WLED v16 naye ESP32 core (Arduino-ESP32 2.x / ESP-IDF 4.4) par bana hai, jismein alag bootloader aur partition layout hota hai. OTA update sirf application image badalta hai — bootloader ko replace nahi karta. Isliye purane v0.15 bootloader ke upar v16 image chadhte hi board boot hona band kar deta hai (WiFi/lights dead).
v0.15 se v16 par jaane ka sahi tarika: board ko USB-to-TTL programmer se, onboard PROG header ke through flash karna padta hai (pehle Erase, phir full factory image @ 0x0). Ye ek baar ka kaam hai — uske baad v16 → v16 updates WiFi se normally chalte hain. Zaroorat ho toh humein WhatsApp kariye — hum guidance ya pre-flashed board de denge.
In English: New boards now ship with WLED v16, where OTA (WiFi) updates within the v16 series work normally. If your board is still on the older v0.15 firmware, do NOT update it to v16 over WiFi — v16 uses a newer bootloader that OTA cannot replace, so the board will fail to boot. Check your version under Info in the WLED page; moving a v0.15 board to v16 requires a USB programmer via the PROG header (erase, then write the full image at 0x0).

What is the WiFi name and password?
The board creates its own WiFi network KOSHI_WLED with password koshi1234. For firmware (OTA) updates, the default password is koshiota. You can change both anytime from Config → Security & Updates — recommended after first setup.
Do I need to install an app?
No — everything runs in your phone browser. The official WLED app is optional.
LITE ya PRO — which one should I buy?

Does it have a proper level shifter?
Yes — a 74AHCT245 level shifter gives true 5V logic on all 8 outputs for flicker-free, stable data. This is the #1 thing cheap imported boards skip.
Why 8 outputs?
Splitting your pixels across outputs means shorter data runs, higher frame rates and easier zone-wise control (segments per output).
How do I connect my strip's GND?
All strips share the board's common GND terminal — connect each strip's GND wire there (or to your power supply's GND, since they're the same ground). Simple and tidy.
Can I run 12V strips on the LITE?
No — the LITE is a 5V-only board. For 12V/24V strips, the WLED PRO accepts 5–24V input.
Preset file upload ya settings page kaam nahi kar raha?
Jab aap board ke WiFi se judte hain toh ek popup window apne aap khulti hai — usme file upload block hota hai (ye phone/laptop ki limitation hai, board ki nahi). Us popup ko band kariye aur Chrome ya Edge kholkar address bar mein http://4.3.2.1 type kariye. Ab sab kuch normal chalega.
