How It Works
The controller is fully automatic. The effects are stored inside the controller's chip and play one after another in a continuous loop as soon as power is connected โ no app, no remote, no setting to do. It is the simplest and most budget-friendly way to animate a 12V bulb setup.

How to connect the 12V pixel LED bulbs and the controller, step by step.
1. In the box
1 ร pre-programmed controller in a sealed enclosure, with a 3-pin output lead. Bulbs and the 12V SMPS are sold separately.
2. Connect the bulbs
- Plug the controller's 3-pin output into the input end of the bulb string.
- Pixel bulbs are one-directional โ the data arrow on the string must point away from the controller. Connect it to the wrong end and nothing will light.
- Use up to 100 bulbs. Fewer is fine; more than 100 will not animate past the 100th bulb.
- Push the connector in fully until it clicks.

3. Connect the power supply
- Use a 12V DC SMPS rated for your bulb count (a 100-bulb string needs roughly 10โ12A headroom; a 12V 15A / 200W unit is a safe choice).
- Match the polarity โ +12V to + and โ to โ. Reversing it damages the controller and is not covered by warranty.
- The controller and the bulb string must share the same โ(GND) as the SMPS.
- Never connect anything to 220V AC mains.
4. Switch on
Turn on the SMPS. The effects start by themselves within a second and keep looping. On the RGB model there is nothing else to do โ it has no switch and no settings.
5. Using the mode switch (RGB+W only)
The RGB+W model has a 3-position switch on the front:

6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Nothing lights up | SMPS is on and giving 12V; +/โ not reversed; the controller is on the input end of the string (data arrow pointing away). |
| The last bulbs never animate | Your string is longer than 100 bulbs. The program covers the first 100 only. |
| Far-end bulbs look dim or reddish | Voltage drop. Use thicker supply wire, or feed 12V to the far end of the string as well (power injection). |
| Colours are swapped (red shows as green) | Your bulbs use a different colour order. Message us with a photo of the bulb and we will send the matching program. |
| Occasional flicker or a sudden jerk | Almost always the power supply. Try a known-good 12V adapter โ if the flicker stops, the SMPS is the cause. Rainproof SMPS should be earthed. Also keep the data wire short. |
| Warm white looks too yellow or too white | The shade is tuned at the factory. Tell us the shade you want and we can load it before dispatch. |
7. Care & safety
- Keep the controller and the SMPS dry โ they are not rainproof.
- Keep the SMPS ventilated; do not cover it.
- Switch the supply off before changing any connection.
- Do not cut or extend the output lead while powered.

FAQ
What is the difference between RGB and RGB+W?
RGB plays 50+ colour effects only and has no switch โ it just runs. RGB+W adds warm white, and a 3-position switch on the front picks steady warm white, 12 warm white effects, or 30 RGB effects. Watch the RGB+W demo โ
How many bulbs does it run?
It is programmed for 100 bulbs and works with any string up to 100. Bulbs beyond the 100th will not animate.
Does RGB+W need special white bulbs?
No. It creates warm white from your normal RGB bulbs by mixing the colours, so the same string gives both colour effects and warm white.
Is it for 12V bulbs?
Yes โ it is made for 12V WS2811 pixel LED bulbs and runs on a 12V power supply. It also works on 5V if your bulbs are 5V.
How do I connect it?

Can I choose the effect, colour or speed myself?
No โ the effects are set at the factory and play automatically. If you want to pick colours and control speed yourself, see our 12V Manual Parallel HD Controller.
Is a remote included?
No. There is no remote or app. The RGB model runs on its own; the RGB+W model is controlled by the 3-position switch on the controller.
